A beautiful Camila Rodriguez documentary, produced by Maritza Rincón de Phosphenes Media. Opens on Monday October 25 in Bogota Documentary Shows.
This beautiful project came to me after I finished the music Apaporis and only until a couple of months ago we began working with the young and talented director Camila Rodriguez, who took me to an unparalleled sonic exploration that ended in small score I wrote for Portraits of Absence. With just a few bamboo sticks and a marimba recreate a sound environment and build two pieces that make up the complete music documentary, which takes place amidst the testimonies of mothers who have had to abandon their children and families in search of a better future for concluding that after completing all their sacrifice not worth it, as abandoning their dreams and her greatest love is impossible to live a happy and peaceful.
No doubt this project will cause a great reflection on who to see. I'm glad I made through my music, the elements needed to create this work that required my intellectual effort that rarely'm used to seeing.
soon be seen in Colombia (via Signal Colombia) and throughout Latin America.
