Where to stay and what to do in Shanghai, China

Not that the houses of all colors hung from the hills, but is a Chinese city that mixes old European style architecture where you feel like walking the around the National Congress where even traditional trolley buses pass as in Valparaiso.

All this happens in the former financial center Shanghai known worldwide as The Bund . This area is most important mile of this city, as important as the Lost City or the Great Wall of China. China was the Wall Street financial year 30 but now many of these buildings are converted into restaurants and bars that are a delight for tourists.

With modern buildings in the Pudong New Area showing China's economic awakening and where the majority of ex-patriots ( people other countries that are moved to live in China or Asia that are in this place the comforts of a western city) or areas where time never seems to have advanced, it offers the mix of new and old that gives an interesting look this great city today receives thousands (and millions) of visitors in Shanghai Expo.

Another place that you can not miss is the Shanghai Museum where you can see much of the ancient history of China in the 5 floors that make up this museum that is absolutely free . If you come in liquid, v as to have to take a bit against the guards to show that there is a toxic element . It is best to go with the bare minimum and that safety is at the airport and super strict.

The Old Town of Shanghai is a good place to go eat and buy gifts for the family. It's like a large craft fair where you can get everything. Almost a Persian Santiago but much more freakish characters that we see daily in Santiago.

My recommendation to stay is a backpacker hostel called Biktime Hostel in 150 Xianggang Road, Shanghai. Very cheap, just blocks from The Bund, and another 3 blocks from Huangpu River and about amazing places to eat. If you have good vibes with people in the reception and the manager, it will save many yuan as they know the cheap places to eat near and enjoy good food local. ¡¡Recuerden que en China son muy pocos los que hablan inglés a nivel de conversación!!

También ahí se puede ver el , con cientos de motos y bicicletas en cada esquina, donde nadie maneja con casco y donde hasta se pueden llevar ninos “al apa”.

It's pretty exciting to present a project like this!

"The Dream Catcher is a stereoscopic 3D animated short film directed and created by Antonio Sanint, written by Juan Carlos Aparicio and produced by STORYZ CHASE STUDIO ANIMATION STUDIOS, who with a team of hundreds of people were able to give life to a wonderful 12-minute story that will soon begin production of animated feature that will distribute and produce UNIVERSAL PICTURES Studio C. This project is a pretty big jump for the cinema in Colombia because it strengthens the development of our production and highlights the important time living in the animation industry in our country.

The music was played, under my direction, EAFIT Symphony Orchestra of Medellin, who with his full roster and a format for Full Orchestra managed to sound incredible in just a work session we had in the Founders Auditorium. The recording was made by Camilo Posada again who once again did a splendid job.

During the writing process worked pretty hard with Antonio, the director and creator, and I must say I was surprised much conceptual clarity with regard to having the characteristics of the music which obviously greatly facilitated his writing and took us to a score that left us all very happy for their quality and expression, I think we sound quite characteristic and typical of history.

Its premiere will take place the first week of September in every room of the country Cinecolombia 3D. I hope to go see and enjoy this wonderful job.

catcher Apaporis: IN SEARCH OF ONE RIVER RUN OR DIE



Long recognized documentary director Antonio Dorado (El Rey, I Love You Ana Elisa) based on the book "The River" Wide Davis who recounts the experiences of the botanist, explorer and naturalist-origin scientist Richard Evan Schultes, who 1938 sent by the U.S. government came to the Colombian Amazon in search of rubber to meet the lack of this input in making provision for the Second World War. What Schultes did not know was that this would be a journey of 12 years.

A truly fascinating and beautiful project that took me to a very enrriquecedora exploration and reflection that led to a score results in some "conventional" and very personal, which is not at all common in this business.

The music was the main challenge the approach through the Western language to commune with the forest and its mysticism, for which I decided to use three indigenous flutes in the orchestration, and ethnic percussion and an element that helped a lot to connect the music with the cosmological view of the tribes that inhabit the banks of the river Apaporis, a small mixed choir, which together with the chamber orchestra managed to keep the balance of the soniridad.

The interpretation of the score was handled by Cali Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir of the Opera Workshop at the Universidad del Valle, both under my direction both for recording and for the presentation held at the opening of International Festival Cali Art last September. The recording was made by my friend the engineer Camilo Posada, who did a great job during the week working in Cali. I feel

grateful for this project that made it my career pleasant experiences and memories that take forever in my memory. Here is

Lippincott Pharmaceutical Calculation

Written by Mike Tucker and directed by Lee Klich this long documentary that tells the story of Fernando Araujo and his escape from the FARC is a breathtakingly compelling and exciting project. Produced by TPI (USA) and Videobase (COL) is a high quality production.

The composition of the score and production took about 2 months in which together with the director and producers we the perfect spot to build a music full of emotions and nuances. This was perhaps one of the projects I've worked with a team very professional and demanding that, luckily for me, I knew very precisely the technical details involving the realization of a score of this type.

black humor and the unique stamp of its director, actors in the conflict is a picaresque story in which 3 theater actors devise a plan to pose unsettling for guerrillas for a trip to Spain after pretending to surrender to the military authorities, for which they decide to travel to a town where paramilitaries and guerrillas fighting for control of the area and the discovery of the true identities of these three strangers.

the film's music was played by musicians of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá and the National Symphony Audiovison studies, and recorded in a fast-paced 10-hour session by the Engineer Felipe Pérez Uribe, who did a magnificent job.

The orchestration was used strings, trombones, acoustic and electric guitars. Also wrote an electronically controlled for most of the pieces, which helped to reinforce the mischievous and naive character of the characters and history.

for its director, Lisandro Duque, this meant a new experience in their careers because never before recorded music from one of his films with live orchestra, and for me it was quite enrriquecedor work alongside a director of the size him. I definitely learned a lot during the making of each piece and its support.

Initially we had in our report Spotting Notes for a total of 16 Cues of which there were only 14. I'm pretty proud of this job!

definitely a great movie and a great project that I had the opportunity to participate. The story revolves around Joseph, the main character who discovers he has a disease that creates the appearance of his double who chase each other to kill.

the score finally decided to produce parts with electronic sounds that gave the character that the director wanted, which is why the use of strings, harp and piano also decided that the use of synthesized sounds would help maintain the character of music.

This is one of the most important projects in which I participated and it was definitely meant so crucial in my career, it was actually my first film project and defined the standard and criteria that would participate in later in each of my projects. Your Director: Juan Manuel Acuña, a great friend today, who at first doubted very much that I could compose the score for his short, but quickly changed his mind.

The music was performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá and received the award for Best Banda Sonora Film awarded by the District in 2005, of its production. The recording of the score was done in a session after 2 days of trial. It is important to stress that are not normally tested for recording a score, but it was a great opportunity for the orchestra as also was his first recording for film.
